During a two-week vacation in Beijing, I learned a little bit about the medicinal properties of herbs. Now, it?s not that I didn?t know anything before; it?s just that I didn?t know much about Chinese herbs. Well, during my vacation, I got some first-hand experience. I found Silk Alley in Xiushuidong Jie, off Jianguomenwai Dajie, near the U.S. Embassy. It?s a good place for bargains and such, and tends to be frequented by a lot of tourists. One of the shops I found was a Chinese herbal shop. Since I had always looked at things like Viagra as something for older men, I was never interested. Besides, I didn?t have problems getting it up or keeping it that way; I just wanted to last longer. For that reason, I never bothered with Viagra, but I figured maybe I could find something natural to supplement my stamina while on vacation. Anyway, I walked into this herbal shop and immediately noticed the vast amounts of bottles lining the shelves. Thank the gods the labels were printed in both Chinese and English. I browsed the shelves for a good 10 minutes until I was the only customer in the place. After the last customer left, the clerk came over.
